Hi, Iβm Amanda
Iβm originally from Norfolk and have lived in Tokyo and Bristol, but after 15 years now consider myself a proud Londoner with a full licence to complain and defend in equal parts.
Iβm a creative and curious person who reads way too much internet, loosely disguised as a pursuit of lifelong learning (!) However, this does mean Iβm highly suited to a career in insight, observing patterns in how the world is changing and what makes people tick.
At the weekend Iβm happiest with a coffee, buying a ton of books I wonβt read for ages, dancing to disco, plotting my next trip, or watching all the dogs go bonkers on London Fields. Iβm an occasional mindfulness teacher, and obsessed with the question about where our collective attention spans are headingβ¦.
Personal projects
My personal projects centre on helping people turn their insight skills inwards, using mindfulness, empathy and compassion to build fulfilling careers and long-term digital & mental wellbeing. Recent work includes:
Writing about skills for social change: eg. mindfulness for social change (e-book, with foreword by Jon Kabat-Zinn)
Mentoring future woman change-makers via Catalyse Change
Supporting the INNER DEVELOPMENT GOALS movement with pro-bono research support
